Michael unless I am going completley senile, which is possible. You mentioned in a previous thread titled workshop, that you were playing at the Artix on the 13th Jan 2012. I have been looking at their site and as yet there is no mention of the concert, is it still going ahead.
Kind Regards Roger.

Would it be cheeky to ask what sort of time you expect to play from / to, and would you have a support act? TT

Hi Deuce,
It would not be cheeky at all to ask.
I will be playing 2 x 45 minute sets plus encores and a little bit of extra time. The second set is usually about an hour.
I am sure you would be a great support act, but there is no support on this show. If there are support acts at my shows and I have some say in who is booked, I usually try to get someone doing something a bit different to what we do to make the evening more interesting for the audience. Also, I usually ask the venues not to play all their best slide guitar CDs before we play and in the interval. My reasons for doing these things has nothing to do with being competitive or not wanting to be upstaged by an Elmore James CD, it can be a bit 'overkill' if there is too much of the same thing. Unless of course it is a slide guitar event, then the more the merrier!

Hi MM Crikey - nearly accidentally talked myself into a gig there? Seriously, I was asking so I'd be able to convince the wife I wouldn't be too late coming home! Maybe one day I could be a respectable support act, but not right now!. TT

Hi Michael, Just had a look at the Artrix site with the intention of booking and they have an 'All star 60s show' on that date. Are they just slow to update their website. Nick

Hi Nick,
The website has not been updated with recent bookings. We are playing on the 14th in the studio theatre that seats 100.

Hi Deuce, The website had a seating plan but I could not see anywhere where it was possible to actually make a choice of seat, the booking page just offers number and type of tickets selection. If MM's Bridgenorth gig last year is anything to go by there were (suprisingly) lots of empty seats and you could take your pick. See you there. Nick

Hi Deuce & Nick,
I hope you won't be able to choose which empty seat to use!
The Bridgnorth theatre is wonderful and I have done some very successful shows there, but the last couple of times I thought they were probably struggling on many of their shows.
It is not just that one, many venues are finding it very difficult to get people to go to shows.
Don't worry TT, you won't have to sit on your own.
