Hi everyone,
Chris Eaton and MM will be holding a four hour slide guitar workshop in Guildford on Saturday 12th November, from 12:00 to 16:30
Chris Eaton is best known for his electric slide guitar playing in Ian Parker's band. Chris is also probably the finest UK exponent of the Sonny Landreth style of playing slide and is a whole different approach to MM's slide playing.
We will cover as much ground as we can in the four hour session; including - acoustic, electric and lap steel Roots & Blues styles, comparing, discussing and explaining our different techniques and approaches to playing slide guitar.
Players of all levels are welcome; beginners, intermediate and advanced (including absolute beginners).
Tickets are £40:00 each and available from chriseaton666@hotmail.com
If anyone has any questions about the session, please don't hesitate to ask me. Leave a message on this thread.
I guarantee that everyone will learn a lot and have a great time. I know that Chris & I will.
Numbers are limited and the sooner we know how many are attending, the better.
Shine On Michael.

Hi Michael
Ill definitely be there if there is still tickets available after ive been paid. I have family 2 miles down the road so its a perfect day out for me.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but if your covering that many styles, do we need to bring gear to play all those, or is it going to be more of a talking workshop than a playing one?
Also are you doing a gig in the evening or is it just a day time event? Ill round up some more people for the evening if you are.
Thanks Dave

Hi Dave,
Cool! We are not planning to do a gig that night, but will play together during the workshop. We hadn't thought about doing a gig....hmmmm
Bring whatever gear you like. I think it is certainly well worth bringing both acoustic (resophonic) and electric, and if you have one....a lap steel.
I look forward to seeing you.

Hi All,
Just bumping this one to the top of the pile as the workshop is only three days away.
You can either book in advance by emailing Chris, or turn up on Saturday and pay at the door.
