This interview has been around for a while, but I think forum members will find it interesting and fits into our new Music Row board.

Michael, Music Row is an excellent idea! I'm as guilty as the next guy of often focussing too much on the tools [ this pickup, these valves, this speaker etc] and forgetting that we are in the business of making music.. we should play, listen, play some more and hopefully, somewhere in this mix, we will all do something that reaches out to someone, even if it is only next doors cat Thank you.

Thanks again Michael, It may have been around for a while but I've never seen it! I don't look at Youtube unless someone points me to a specific video.
The video and this new board prompt me to say that I bought several Debashish Bhattacharya CDs after you mentioned him. I love his music and it seems to me that in a way the instrument is irrelevant, the music could have been produced by him playing a sitar if that had been his chosen instrument. I'm not sure if a fan of slide guitar but not of Indian music would like his CDs but I am sure that a fan of Indian music would like his music even if they think they don't like slide guitar.

This conversation about Indian slide guitar music has been moved to a new thread on the Music Row board as it has drifted from the subject of Derek Trucks

+1 on that, had it for a while, some really good songs, Midnight Train To Harlem is just a soulful song.
