Michael, Is this Get It Licked CD set aimed at all guitarists, or does it lean towards electric like most jam tracks cds? I'd be wanting to play bottleneck on my Duolian and twiddly solos on my Martin. Is it right for me? Assuming you are going to be at Exter next year, I intend to have gotten good enough with the Duolian to join your class instead of Mac's! I'm hoping that these cds might be just what I need.... Thanks.

Hi Simon,
Welcome to the forum. The Get It Licked Play The Blues 3 CD set covers a wide variety of blues styles, both acoustic & electric. The backing tracks are mostly electric, but that does not mean full blast rock blues. There are a few acoustic tracks, but there are numerous tracks that will be fine for you to jam acoustic slide on your Duolian. Perhaps some of the contributors to this forum could tell you more about it.
Anybody who enjoys playing blues of any style will find this CD set a useful learning & practice tool. Don't take my word for it, read the reviews on my website.
Shine On, Michael.

Hi Simon,
I bought Michael's Get It Licked CD set about six months ago after reading a review in Guitarist magazine and endorse everything that Michael says about them. They are a brilliant learning tool and also hugely entertaining. They cover a wide range of blues styles from early delta blues to more modern stuff, and I particularly like the fact that each backing track is prefaced with a short intro including the lead guitar to give you some ideas on where to start in terms of sound and feel. I play along with both my Strat and my Regal RD45 Dobro-style resophonic. Go on, do yourself a favour and buy the set now!
All the best,
Joe
