Hi Michael,
I've been wanting to see you live since I met you on the Pocklington Blues Weekend in December.
Have you got any news on the UK tour or any gigs coming up in the North? (I am in Leeds)
Hope to see you live soon.
Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for asking about UK tour dates - I am playing with my band at the Burnley Blues Festival on Saturday 7th April in the evening. I am also doing a workshop there on the same day at noon. There will be other UK tour dates in your neck of the woods this year, but not until the Autumn.
I hope to see you soon,
Shine On, Michael.

Hi Chris,
Yes, I am playing....nearly in London....on 16th February - at the Plough in Walthamstow. It is a pretty good venue. Have a look at their website, it is on the concerts page on my website.
Shine On, Michael.

Thanks Michael,
I am getting married on 1st April, with the Honeymoon straight after so I won't be able to go to the Burnley gig. I don't think I can persuade her to let me come back from the Maldives to go to Burnley.
I'll catch you later in the year.
Cheers
Paul

Hi there !
Hell ! The first time in 5 years or so, I dedided I wouldn't go to the Burnley Blues Festival ! Looks like I'll miss another chance to see Mr Messer live !
Might have to rethink this. The Missus is going to Ireland to see her folks for the Easter weekend, so I'm free to do what I want !!
Where is your Burnley gig ? The Mechanics Main Stage ?
I'm hoping I'll have my Elmore Kay guitar "up and running" by then.

Hi Richard,
I am currently talking to the Dundee Blues Festival about playing there this year, so I may be on your doorstep.....get the kettle on!

Hi again !
Yeah ! Come to Dundee - the Bonanza is a blast !! I was a student up there years ago and used to play piano in Robin's (aka Bob Telford) band "Wolftrain" for a couple of years while I was a student. Robin is one of the main organisors of the festival. I have played there the last 6 years, at least. Usually, I get a solo gig, as Snakehips O'Donnell (usually billed as a piano gig but play guitar for half the gig) and a couple of gigs with my trio "Mud In Your Ear".
In addition to that, last year, I did two duo gigs with Bottleneck John (from Sweden) and one gig (playing piano) with "Little Jimmy Reed" from Louisiana/Alabama. That was wild !! Did a gig with him the following week in Edinburgh at the "Jam House". He is coming back this year again to the Bonanza. Worth checking him out.
You will have a blast in Dundee - especially if you check out everything else that is going on too. Stay for the weekend and soak up the vibes. I'll get the kettle on !
I may still go to Burnley yet !

Snakehips, youre a lucky fella. Here I am ten miles away from Burnley Blues Fest, and I can't go either, as my good lady is photgraphing someones wedding that day, and I am on childcare duties, without any transport either! I wonder a) Is it worth taking the bus, and b) would they let kids in for free!
Never mind Michael, are you doing any other Northern gigs? There are some great venues near here, Settle Victoria Hall, Hebden Bridge Trades Club, that I can get to easily.

Andy, just bring the kids along, they'll love it. I am sure they would let them in for free. Most festivals don't charge for children.
