Hi Michael.
Hope all is well with you.
I have a problem with allergy to certain rosewoods. In the past I have had many fretboards laquered or knackered as some prefer to put it. I am having the same problem with Lady Lightening. So, question being... Do you think it OK to have the f/board laquered, or will it have effect on the overall sound. I have had this problem for many years and tried all sorts of remedies, but the only one that works is varnishing the board. Some boards seem OK. I think the guitar is great, but the allergy effect can be very heavy at times. If varnishing is fine, would Robin at Busker manage that along with setting the guitar up again after finishing the neck?
Take care and best wishes always.

Hi Gouranga, All well here at MM HQ thank you I understand the problem and although I have not seen an MM guitar with a lacquered neck, I see no reason why it should affect the sound in any way. I am sure Robin would be happy to set your guitar up after the job is done. Do you have someone to do it? I am asking because I am wondering if Ron would like to do it (Ron works with Robin setting up guitars and has done some excellent customising jobs for us). If the guitar is going to have to go to Wales to be set up, it may be possible to do it all in one hit. If this is of interest to you, I will speak with Robin about it? Take care Gouranga, Shine On Michael I will move this thread to Main Street later tonight. I am trying to keep all MM guitars stuff on the Main Street board so the rest of the forum stays non-commercial.

Thank you Michael. If Ron can do it,then that is 1st class. Can trust him. Could maybe make arrangements for beginning of the year and have a Highlander fitted at the same time.
Take care and best wishes.
Gouranga
PS..Or as soon as Robin and Ron are able.

Hi Gouranga,
I will email this thread to Robin and he can ask Ron if he can lacquer the fretboard. Fitting the Highlander is no problem, but we will have to order one for you.

Hi Gouranga,
I have spoken with Robin about your guitar. I am sure we can sort the whole thing out for you.
Re; the Highlander - it is better for us to order direct from the US.
Robin said he will either post on this thread or contact you direct.

Hi Gouranga,
We can certainly do both jobs here - the fretboard lacquer and the Highlander.
Drop me an email and we'll sort out the details.
Robin

I've visited the 'Highlander' factory several times, (It is the next door unit ,on the same industrial estate as Nat Reso) Great choice of PU, you will be amazed at the sound from your reso when amplified.
