Hi Michael and Everybody ....... first thread of the year
I wish everybody a Happy New Year ... I took the family back to England this Xmas ..... wanted to try out some " Binge " drinking I see and hear so much about ... sadly pubs quite quiet ....... Any way enough of this stupidity.
Michael Santa bought me your bottleneck DVD and the play the blues CD set ...... both very good. The CD set is really good for keeping your hand in, I'm group-less at the present time. Regarding the bottleneck DVD you do a terrific shuffle in D tuning , I have heard a similar sort of thing done by Catfish Keith ..... I wondered how it was done, now thanks to your DVD I can have a go..... Its amazing how you never stop learning.
This question is a bit more for the technically minded like Robn. I have a Marshall AVT 50 amp which I use for my electric slide guitar . It has a CD input on it which is designed for your sort of CDs to be played into. What I need to know is how powerful
has the CD player output got to be to transfer the signal to the amp, also I notice on the amp CD input that it is a guitar size jackplug I will need...... is this a problem ? I suppose a small portable would be out of the question . It would be very useful also If I could hear your CD and play along using headphones from the same amp , which would keep the TV viewers happy downstairs . The CD set is just nice to listen to Michael while you are working ...... if any one can give advice on my question or other ways to project the CD music so you can play along with ...... how you might do it ..... I would be grateful ....... Finally Michael you CDs would make terrific backing tracks for a solo guitarist put through a small PA system like the Yamaha Stagepas I am thinking of getting ........ but I suppose this was not your intention when you decided to make the CDs .......... Regards Growler
