Hi Michael,
Just a few short lines to wish you and all the other forum members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hope to catch up with you next time I'm over in the UK. Might even manage to get to one of your workshops (I've put the dates of your two at the LRC in my diary).
Happy sliding in 2007,
All the best,
Joe (aka Mairena Red)

Hi Ian, Not sure I envy you having to drink all those 1.5 litre bottles of Mateus Rosé in the name of your art Of course you could save yourself the trouble by contacting the manufacturers of the bottles and intercepting them before they are filled. I am reliably informed by colleagues in the Commercial Section of the British Embassy in Lisbon that the bottles are made by Barbosa e Almeida in Avintes, Portugal (http://www.bavidros.com) and by Saint Gobain Mondego in Figueira da Foz, Portugal (http://www.sgmondego.com). Let me know if you are interested and I will try to identify a suitable contact. I am sure your liver would thank you ;D All the best, Joe (aka Mairena Red)

Joe - that would be FANTASTIC ;D Many thanks indeed for this! The 1500ml Mateus bottles were available here in the U.K. back in the late '80's-early '90's....and i had a bunch of 'em in my shed, but over the years my stock has dwindled to nothing & to find another steady supply source would be excellent....and save a few close friends liver problem's . The glass quality of the 1500ml Mateus bottles is superb - and we can create a larger internal diameter from these beasts with slightly thicker side-walls than the easily available standard 750ml, and also achieve a longer slide-length. I'll mail you a P.M. from the forum Joe - and again....many thanks indeed & a Happy New Year Slide On! Ian. www.diamondbottlenecks.com
