hi Michael, just a quick note to say how great the 3 c.d set "play the blues" is. ive tried lots of differant jam tapes/c.d's over the years and though they have been a great aid to my playing they dont come anywhere near the quality of "play the blues". the feel and atmosphere along with the diversity of styles has really helped my playing ability. thanks again paul

Hi Paul,
Welcome to our forum.
Thank you - your kind words are very much appreciated! I am very proud of Play The Blues, and although it is not actually an album, it is creatively as important to me as any of my albums.
Keep on jamming with Play The Blues!
Shine On, Michael.

Hi Michael, I picked up a copy of "Play the Blues" via musicroom after reading this thread. What a cool concept - really great sounding backing tracks rather than the naff synthesised stuff you usually get. I love the variety of blues genera, example leads and use of vintage instruments. It is obvious that considerable time and thought (not to mention talent) has gone into this project. Most importantly I'm having great fun. Once my fingers got too sore on my strat I switched to squareneck dobro and harp ;D Such an excellent resource for sharpenning up your solos without p***ing off the band! Thanks Robn
