I am looking to buy some replacement resonator parts, and in the past have used Resound. However their website seems to have disappeared, and I cant get in touch with them to order some parts.
Does anyone know;-
a)Whether Resound are still trading, or are they just having website problems?
b) Are there any other UK suppliers of cones, coverplates tailpieces etc.
I know that I could send off to StewMac in the States, but I'd rather keep my business in the UK if I can help it.
Yours

I think Resond have moved to France, Dave King has a supply of parts via National and he has the Beltona tooling, alternatively Stew Mac is a great business although its US based they have a very good mail order turnaround. also Pete Woodman on the Isle of Mann may be able to help. Alternatively post what you want on the forum and see whats out there kicking around sheds etc! Regards Lee.

Yes, Resound have relocated to France - but as far as i knew, John & Pat Crabb were still continuing to trade as 'Resound'. As Lee rightly states, any of the aforementioned in the U.K. should be able to help, but for farther afield try 'Resophonic Outfitters' (Paul Beard) www.beardguitars.com They carry a larger stock of purely resonator bits 'n bob's than Stewmac....and listening to the lady's accent on the telephone is well worth the price of the call ;D ;D ;D Slide On! The Resound web site is suffering a technical hitch. I got into it earlier this morning but now it has gone again. Does anyone have John's email or phone number in France to let him know?

Hi there, I get parts from Touchstone Tonewoods. I've had spider and biscuit bridge parts from them. Nothing fancy (I think the parts are the same as the Ozark brand), put perfectly acceptable. Also they have loads of general guitar and fiddle parts and materials.

Yeah I am going to use Touchstone, they sell complete kits for both types. However, I would also like to buy individual biscuit bridge cones, and fabricate my own coverplates. Back to the post from Lee, if anyone has done what I have done, upgraded a guitar with a Quarterman, and has the old one spare, let me know, we can maybe come to a deal.
Heres to some more posts on "unusual resophonic guitars"
On to Resound, I sent them an email this morning, on my home machine, the email I have is resound@resound.uk.com.
Thanks for all your help on this one

Andy, if you're interested drop me an email off list - I've got cones I've taken out of biscuit and spider upgrades and some spiders too. They're the same cones that come with the Touchstone kits - i.e. not very good!
