LOUISIANA RED & MICHAEL MESSERI am very sorry to inform everyone who was so looking forward to seeing Louisiana Red this month that he is ill and has returned home to hospital. We did four shows together and although Red wanted to continue, it became very clear to me by the fourth show that he was too ill to continue. I arranged for him to return home to Germany where he can get the care and treatment he needs for a full recovery. As you can imagine it was a stressful and emotional week for both of us. Many of the tour dates have been cancelled, but some are going ahead which I am now doing as 'Michael Messer & Ed Genis' shows. Please check with venues to find out which shows are still going ahead. I cannot give you a definitive list of what is happening as our booking agency is still negotiating with the venues. I do know that Wolverhampton, Liverpool, Coventry and Stamford are CANCELLED CONFIRMED still going ahead - Stockon, Selby, London, Kendal, Fareham and Manchester. We are still waiting for confirmation of the Cardiff show. I hope to see people at the shows and I wish Louisiana Red a speedy and full recovery. Wandered into the Stamford Arts Centre last Friday to try and pickup some tickets for the 20th May gig (So kind of you to arrange it for the day of my birthday..) Ticket office said the tickets 'weren't ready yet' and didn't exactly know when they would be.. Left my number with them, hope I get a call back... I did however (completely by accident) stumble across the Stamford Arts Blues Guitar Festival which seems to be happening in early June...

I am surprised the tickets are not on sale yet at Stamford. It is an excellent venue. I have played at the folk & blues guitar festival a couple of times and done a few concerts in the big hall. I look forward to it.
Shine On Michael.

Hi Strummer,
Welcome to our forum.
Wow, your girlfriend is definitely wonderful!
It is good to know that MML 0135 10 has gone to a good home. Great stuff.
The Green Note is a very intimate venue, so please do come and say hello to us. It is a great little venue, one of my favourite London gigs.
Keep in touch.
Shine On Michael.

Hi Michael Me and a friend are trying to purchase tickets at the globe, Cardiff. There seems to be some confusion when the concert is taking place. I think your website states the 26 May, while the globes says 31 May and Derek's music in cardiff who sell ticket onhalve of the Globe say its 1 May. Could you confirm which date is correct. we also seem to having problems purchasing the tickets. Hope to see you at the Globe, its alot bigger than the Marshals in Barnstaple Thanks Kristian

Hi, are any of the Yorkshire contingent going to this gig? I'm torn between going to the Manchester or Selby ones.

We plumped for Selby too, but we're this side of Huddersfield.
