HI My pal has this 1995 GIbson made Dobro, which has a National type cone and bridge, i.e. not a spider. It is a very nicely made Guitar, but lacks the bark of my 1930's Duolian. Whose cones are likely to provide a better sound ?? I haven't taken the lid off at this point to measure the cone. Cheers DT

Hi Davey,
It is a 10.5 inch biscuit bridge cone. The only replacement for this guitar is a National Reso-Phonic 10.5 inch cone.
It may never have the bark of your Duolian, but I am confident that a National Reso-Phonic cone will improve the sound.
I would fit a National biscuit/bridge as well. While the job is being done, it will improve the sound too.
Shine On Michael.
