Just a quick update on where we are with the MM guitars project as it is coming up for a year since we sold the first production MM guitars. In fact, August is the anniversary of the first MM production run – and we have come a long way in the last year. A couple of week’s ago I finally retired from the Armed Forces after just short of a quarter of a century of service (where did those 24 years go ) and I have now taken up running Busker Limited full time Hopefully, we should be able to answer your emails etc just a little faster in the future – though there is only myself, Ron and Michael to deal with all the jobs that come along – so we just can’t be on top of everything 24 hours a day (it has felt like 28 hours a day for the last 18 months ) We are working hard to design and produce the guitars that you want to play. Each step is a learning point for us all and the process of getting a design from its conception into production and then on to you is a great challenge, to say the least! Many thanks for the support and feedback the members of this forum have given over the past 12 months or so – it has been both rewarding and kept us on our toes! I think that we have done what we set out to do – which was to shake up the resonator guitar market from the bottom up and get some great guitars into the hands of musicians at the budget price point. In particular, we wanted the guitars to have the tone and “life” of the 30s guitars and be pragmatic and functional instruments for working musicians. Well I know from the number of you that gig with MM or Busker guitars that we have achieved that goal. Once again I would like to thank all of you who have supported us over our first year and I’m looking forward to the new “projects” that Michael has in the pipeline for release over the coming months Many thanks, Robin (PS – Back to the set-up bench for the rest of the afternoon!)

Hi Robin. no need to thank us, we should be thanking you and Michael for providing us with great guitars at a great price.
Everyone who has seen, heard, and played my MM Blues has been amazed at the look, sound, volume, and 'playability' of it. They could not believe the price, when asked, no one guessed less than four figures!
Thanks for a great guitar, it has made me feel (almost) young again! Frank

+ 1 to the above, and congratulations too, Robin, on going full-time with Busker. I raise a virtual glass to you! ;D That's great news, and I'm sure the company will go from strength to strength.

Only one year and so many happy owners of MM Resonator Guitars! Thank you for your very kind messages.
Both Robin and I are very proud of our achievements, but we are not prepared to sit back and rest on our laurels. We do intend to expand our business, but NEVER to lose our grip on personal service and quality of instruments. There will be new instruments added to the range, but until they are here and ready to ship to customers, we are not going to say anything about them.
Thanks, keep in touch and SHINE ON ;D Michael.

Add another very happy picker to this list. MM and Busker are a magnificent achievement, especially when you bear in mind that it has not (up to now) been anyone's full-time job! Here's to many more years, many more wonderful guitars and many, many more happy players!
Ann and I will be opening a bottle of Saumur tonight to celebrate a slightly belated Bastille Day and we shall raise a toast to you guys!
Cheerily,
Gerry C

I didn't realise that it was all being done part time. Makes it all the more commendable. My MM Blues is not my favourite guitar but it's the only one that gets played every day, never returns to it's case and holds the distinction of being "tolerated" on the sitting room sofa. I think that says it all for me. Cheers to all responsible for these inspiring instruments.

Well done Robin!!!......onwards and upwards. The sentiments expressed in this thread are testament to your dedication and passion. The guitars that you and Michael have turned out are fantastic and capture the original spirit of the resonators we would all love to have....at a price that is within reach of most of us....awesome work. Your support and Michael's support have been instrumental.. both literally and figuratively, in being able to make the MM Resonators available in Australia... Great work....found your mojo!!!

Yes gents. I am out busking a few days a week, and without fail, each day at least one or two people will ask about the MM Blues. They always remark on how nice it sound and they also like it's looks. An american chap hung around for about twenty minutes, then wanted to have a good look at the guitar and know all about it. He remarked, 'it's a real nice one, sounds great.' Don't know what folks would think if they heard it played by someone who could actually play it. I regularly get comments of 'Nice guitar'........... Well done gents. I named my MM Blues, Govinda... Which in sanskrit language means. One who gives pleasure to the senses.... It sure does... to mine and many others who hear it..... Keep up the good work and thank you..

Hi Gouranga See if you can get a picture of yourself out on the street busking with your MM blues and post it on the forum . I have a great admiration for someone who regularly goes out on the street to play for the people, I'm sure one of those ' Coppers ' you mentioned earlier would oblige with taking the photo
