I was just wondering which guitar is the best. A Johnson JM-998 or a Regal RC-2?
Is it true that the Johnson JM-998 has a bell brass body and the Regal RC-2 a metal body?
Also I want to know from which original model the Regal RC-2 is a copy from?

I believe the Regal has a steel body, which tends to be a little harder and brash sounding than the brass bodied resonators. Strictly speaking there's no such thing as 'bell brass', it's a marketing term, it's just brass - bells are usually made of bronze! As for which is better, can't say...they are different.
Asking if one guitar is better than another is not really a valid question. In technical terms a Taylor guitar is better than my crappy old Harmony Stella (better wood, better action, better finish, better workmanship etc), but I dont get on with Taylors, and a Stella suits my style and sound best..so for me it's the better guitar, but that's just my view (although my audiences seems to agree with me about the sound!).
