I saw Michael and Ed and Louis at Treorchy on my biurthday in february, and a coupla weeks later (by coincidence) I found myself at a Paul Battenburgh/ King of Despair night in Swansea conversing with Terry Clarke. A few weeks later I had the pleasure of Terry's company when he came up for a two night stayover in the Rhondda where I have lived for the last 17 years. There i found out all about Terry, Ed and Mike's work, and of course Jesse Hercules Taylor, and we jammed Terry's music all night long, friends came round with bongos and a cine camera and the nights became one, a tribute to Jesse, exposing the music to new generations. The gig at Abertillery was a proper tribute to Jesse.

Hello Vic, Hwyl, Brandon and Jean, Thank you very much for your kind words. It has been a long time since Terry, Ed & myself played together and to do it as a tribute to Jesse Taylor made it even more special for us and very emotional. Thanks for being such a great audience & I look forward to seeing the film of the evening. We have done three concerts in your neck of the woods recently; The Tawe Delta Blues Club in Swansea, The Parc & Dare Theatre in Treorchy and the Abertillery Community Theatre. All three venues were a pleasure to play at, we look forward to playing in your area again soon. Shine On, Michael

I forgot to mention that it was great to meet Nick Splendid (one of our forum members) and his friend, Mike. They played a great opening set at the Abertillery Community Theatre on Friday night.
Thanks & best wishes to Nick & Mike

Hello Brandon & Jean,
I haven't heard anything about the film of the Abertillary gig since that night! I am sure it will turn up eventually - the guy who shot it (can't remember his name...had the same hat as me) said it would be a few months. We'll see!
Love to you both, Shine On, Michael.
