This, my third Busker, has just arrived, fitted with a flatbucker.
Unplugged it is wonderful to play straight out of the box.
The bass is full and almost woody, while the treble sings. The midle ranges join the 2 ends like a well made pair of varifocals!
This is the best steel guitar I have played and I've tried a few in stores. I am very very impressed.
A YT video soon of it unplugged and amplified.
Life is very good with such a guitar!

Welcome to the Delta Club Barry!! Don't know of anybody else on here that's got one...'cept for maybe Mr. Clark himself who's probably got one or two lying about the house!
Super instrument for sure...I'll be interested to hear how the Flatbucker works out.
Regards, Niall

Hi Barry,
I saw your recommendation of this guitar in my thread, and am eagerly awaiting to hear and see your presentation of it - it might just be the one for me as well!

Chaps who are eager for a demo from Pinner!....
The room I used to record in is the 2nd bedroom of this flat. My son is staying this weekend so it had to become a bedroom again. Also the lighting there was too poor for video, though the sound was great for a mere digital recording!!
I have a dining room here, unused for 2 years other than a store of my now unwanted garden railway stuff. As soon as I can this will become the recording studio and a video will be done.
Actually I did a recording yesterday, but the light was so poor nobody would have seen the guitar and the sound was naff too because I forgot to use the 'extension mic' facility, and thus recorded a lot of traffic noise.
But, salivate on, it is good. The bass is very surprisingly woody while the cone sings sweetly on the treble.

What is a flatbucker? Do you mean one of those Lace slimline stick on humbuckers? If so I am also eager to know how it sounds. I want to electrify my Beard Gold Tone cutaway and I'm blowed if I can decide what to use. I can't afford anything to expensive and I want a 'true reso sound' Thinking of getting a fishman at the moment. I've got a hotplate on my National and that sounds pretty good to me.

Hi all
The video is done and as I type on You Tube being processed; ie made worse in both sound and picture quality than the original video. It should be ready by Thursday and if so I'll post a link.
The guitar sounds better with the glass section of the DB Evolution, or so it seems to me.

You Tube have rejected the video because at 12min 54 sec it is too long!!!!!
I'll do a shorter version but not today!

AT LAST
The video of the review, playing the same sort of stuff with the glass and steel sides in acoustic mode is at........................
and a similar effort but with the guitar plugged in is at.....
The guitar was less than a week old when I recorded this...it sounds better all the time.

Thanks Barry, nice demo of the slide and pickup as well as the guitar. Very interesting, can see and hear why you're so happy with your Delta. I bet it is getting a lot of play - do your other guitars get jealous?
