Glad you are Happy and have seen the light! As far as I know the only shop in the Nederlands is Palm Guitars. Soren, the owner, is a good man.
Nickel strings have a different sound to phosphor bronze - it is a personal taste thing. It is also what you get used to.

I use Newtone Nickel strings and have never really got on with Bronze ones.
I wish though, that the Nickel ones were available in 16 - 59s like the bronze ones are.
Maybe they are, but they dont seem to be through Strings Direct, who I also use a lot.

Hi Andy,
The nickel MM Newtone National strings are definitely available in heavy gauge 16 to 59. I use them on my lap steel guitars.

The ones I'd like to see available are a 13-56 set in nickel; the 15 set is great for slide but a bit rough on the ol' digits for playing 'normally' (ducks...)
Cheerily,

Michael,
I'd love to get hold of a couple of sets of Nickel 16-59s, but no-one seems to stock them. StringsDirect only have Bronze in that gauge, as do Sheehans.
Does anyone know where can you get the 16-59 Nickels from?
Gerry,
13-52 Nickels are a bit more available as far as I know. Its the heavier 16s Nickels that seem to be like hens teeth

.....I did not know there was a problem getting them. If the outlets you mention don't stock them, go direct to Newtone Strings and order them. As I have mentioned - I use them all the time.

I get my MM Newtone strings from Hobgoblin in Brum, they specialize in strings for any instrument when i asked if they had any a couple of years back they said no but getting them is not a problem as they deal with Newtone, they sell so well now that they allways keep lots in stock. both nickel and bronze, there are Hobgolin shops all over the country, and they would i'm sure be able to get MM Newtone strings Wolvoboy

I have tried my nearest Hobgoblin in Leeds, and they dont stock Newtones at all.
Google searches have drawn a blank as far as online sales, most only stock the PB sets, and if they have Nickel ones, they only go up to 13-52
I think for this particular set I will have to go direct to Newtone, unless anyone else knows someone who stocks them.
