Lucy Zirins appeared on Lancashire Bluenotes last night, playing four songs and having a chat with Nick Dow and Rick Lacey. She also managed to correct Nick when he assumed she was playing a national, by pointing out that it was a Michael Messer Lightning ;D You can catch the whole programme for the next 7 days at: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0024q64/Lancashire_Bluenotes_13_02_2009/ Enjoy!!

That was AMAZING!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
Ian, can you pass on my congratulations to Lucy. I can't believe that was her first live radio session - Sensational. She came across so naturally and professionally. To do 4 live numbers in a radio studio - well, I'm really, really impressed. Talk about Britain Has Talent - incredible!!!!!!
A superb voice and exceptional musicianship - Lucy has a great career ahead of her.
You must be really proud ;D

Ian,
Please pass on my congratulations to Lucy. Really very impressive, good for her! I remember her performance of Death Letter from Blues Week, which was excellent.
In the radio show she demonstrated such great expressive vocals over the four numbers. I can imagine she sounds great with Jazz numbers. Look forward to following her progress with the singer songwriter approach.
All the best, you must be very proud.
Mel
