Hi Michael
I became a member this week, really enjoyed reading the threads, a great idea and I've learned a lot on several visits. I started one in Tin Pan Alley to sell my National Tricone Style-1 (1930) but could not work out how to put photos in the 'reply' box. I would appreciate it if you could let me know then I can add them. We met in in Gemany at a pub gig in Metmann 1999 when you played with Ed Genis, I'm still listening to your music! Thanks - Barry

Hi Barry, I played at the Mettmann festival in 1998....phew it feels like it was three years ago! We did return to Mettmann in either 99 or 00 and played at the railway station venue, I forget its name. But I think that is where we met? I am pleased that you are enjoying our forum. It's not too big and all the regular contributors are knowledgable & serious. I do my best to keep up with all the threads and to keep in touch with everyone. Here's how to add a photo: First of all you have to upload the photo to the Internet. Try Photobucket or a similar website. Then follow these instructions and and pray that it works!!!! We have a forum member (Alan) who is VERY helpful with this stuff. So if you can't make it work leave Alan a message. I will use a photo from my own website. (You can test the instructions by using my MICHAEL MESSER FORUM logo jpeg at the top of this page). <<<LIKE THIS 1. Go to the photo on the Internet and hover over the photo - then right click and scroll down to PROPERTIES. 2. Click on PROPERTIES - highlight & COPY where it says ADDRESS URL - This is my picture's URL www.michaelmesser.co.uk/SECOND%20MIND%20FRONT5.jpg3. Now go to the MM forum and click REPLY/START NEW THREAD ETC.... and you will get the white window that I am typing into right now. 4. Above this white window/text box, there are various grey buttons called ADD TAGS. Put your curser where you want the picture to appear in your message and click on the bottom row, fourth from the left (it's a little picture in a frame ) 5. [ i m g ] U R L [ / i m g ] <<this is what you will see appear. I have added some spaces to the demos because otherwise they just become hyperlinks! 6. In the middle of that TAG it has three letters....URL, remove them from the tag ....so it looks like this If you have any questions about this, please ask and I will do my best to answer them. And, don't worry if you make a mistake, we can delete unwanted posts from here at MM HQ. >>>>GOOD LUCK ;D Shine On Michael.

Thanks Michael, I messed it up somehow but Alan came to the rescue, bit of a wobbly thread due to my 'incomputeracy' but the dedicated will have no problems following and may have fun checking out the individual specks of dust on my giant photos (and the camera was so small!). Perhaps you could be kind and delete my entry with the URLs that don't work when clicked on. Let me know when you are doing Germany again, if you play Hamburg I come with a crowd, no need to advertise - Best Barry
