Those of a self-masochistic disposition may wish to see me knocking seven bells out of Blind Boy Fuller's Corinne What Makes You Treat Me So over at uk.youtube.com/watch?v=OmkSCsGlmdMI've sussed out how to use my wee camera for movies so there may well be more to come. Don't say you weren't warned. Cheerily Gerry C Next one will definitely involve the Lightnin'!

Lovely stuff Gerry...love that easy, gentle style of playing...it kinda draws the listener in rather than being too 'in-your-face' about it...my kinda stuff!! More please... Niall

Why, thank y'all kindly, friends. The vid was done pretty much on the spur of the moment. Best Beloved gave me a digital camera for my 60th, but I'd never tried out the movie function until last weekend. BB did a couple of short clips and I worked out how to put them on my PC and then the Tube. After dinner last Tuesday (when we'd shared a very nice bottle of Montepulciano...) I said, "Come on! Let's give it a go with a proper song!" So it was a case of BB presses the button and I play. Next time (when I'm sober and rehearsed!) it'll be better.
My pal Nick has just retired and amongst his retiring gifts was a super-duper digital camera with more bells and whistles than sticks can be shaken at. He's coming round this week to try out the movie function and be my Roadie i/c Button Pressing...
Cheerily,
Gerry C

I wish we could embed You Tube clips without those darn adverts on the right hand side. Anyone know how?

Why not just post links? Copy the URL and paste it into your missive on this forum. Perhaps the adverts are just a quid-pro-quo of having the video bandwidth hosted elsewhere. (at least I assume that's how it works) Does embedding mean that you would carry the cost of the extra bandwidth requirement? Downloading and converting them from .flv format is well documented, embedding though is currently beyond me. How about if we could cut out the middle man and post (links to?) our own home videos? queue webmaster! BTW, nice playing and singing Gerry, very fluid and constant time. Stevie.

I just use the You Tube link above the message box and paste the URL, but it always adds the adverts. Maybe You Tube is just too clever to beat!
