HI Tommo Nice to hear from you ..... did you have any luck with your Davey Graham song Quest?........
I watched it all last night ( just fell asleep a bit during the Barbican concert , we are an hour ahead of you over here). What a marvelous night of music it was, starting off with Seasick Steve , what a guy you just can't help liking him. His concert at Reading was also excellent , it proved that he is not just a musician ( albeit on some strange instruments ) but an entertainer, the crowd loved him. I particularly liked the song he sung to the girl he bought up on stage. The other three programms were also good, I noticed Robins picture appear in the first documentary , the one with the 3 guys standing with their backs to us and guitars slung over their backs. Finally I watched the programme about the record collector, I found this guy fascinating, what a personal quest he had undertaken, to start collecting 78s since he was 12 years old, and what a collection he had, especially the Robert Johnston one......... Well done BBC a great night of music for us........ now its back to Celerbrity Come Dancing and Singing shite.
Regards Growler

Hi Tommo,
Thanks for the link, just watched it. Good programme that captures so many aspects of his music and influences. It amuses me to hear how surprised he is about his success. It just goes to show that its about having something to say and being in the right place at the right time.
Good one.
Mel
