I have always preferred the term 'Conehead' to Resoholic. For me it is not a problem or a sickness, it is a pleasure!

To turn the idea on its head: you know you do not have enough guitars when you know how many you have... OK, OK, I have nine plus a mandolin, aGreek bouzouki, a ukelele and (Don't tell anyone!!) a 5-string banjo... Cheerily, Gerry C

Dude
I play slide on a banjo, it is doable, just not as easy as the Tricone

....you opened a can of worms there - I have a five string banjo that I used to play slide on a lot. My Turbo Diddley cigar box guitar is pretty much a banjo. It's either a tenor guitar or four string banjo.... ....it sounds fantastic played with a slide. Shine On Michael.

Impossible to resist adding to the foregoing! I have 2 banjos and I'm proud of it. I have 16 (*) altogether inluding the banjos, a bouzouki, a mandolin and a Gretsch bass as well as the guitars, although I still have the MM reso to acquire....but until then the banjo will remain my desert island twang.
Of course, it doesn't stop there. factor in the digital piano, concertina, Xaphoon, harmonica, two flutes and PC based firewire recording set up
I'm going to qualify what Gerry (Happy B.day!) said by stating that at the same time, I believe that you probably have too many if you have to stop and count them all (I need to write them all down) I'm running out of justification for buying any more! (not to mention space) Maybe not a resoholic (yet) but trying to get to grips with addiction just the same.
Stevie.
(*) 17 now with the MM Blues!
