Next Friday evening on BBC 4 (TV, not radio) sees the start of a new series called Folk America. Radio Times promises bits on the early blues will be included. Preceding the programme will be two others (I think) featuring the splendid Seasick Steve. Might have to set the recording device of your choice if you're gigging or down the pub...

Gerry C ............Just checked out the the programmes on BBC4 for that night? what an amazing night of music , makes a pleasant change from the usual Celebrity all singing and dancing ' Crap ' ......... Also bugger going down the pub, get a few beers in and watch this

I saw the link Pascal gave us to C.W. Stoneking. They have an interesting thing going on with their music. I look forward to it.
I also noticed BBC Four is showing the first series of the Transatlantic Sessions tomorrow night at 7.30. This was the best of the three series and if you haven't already seen it, I highly recommend it. Members of this forum will particularly enjoy Jerry Douglas playing Dobro on lots of tunes.
