Hiya lads,
I've been on here a couple of times over the holidays, telling ya'll about my new amplifier, and all the while it's totally slipped my mind that I got a Diamond Bottlenecks Evolution slide as a Christmas pressie also!
Since first trying their 'Redhouse' model, I thought I had found THE slide for me...wrong! The Redhouse is great, but I reckon the Evolution is BRILLIANT! You know that thing when you pick up a particular guitar for the first time and it just feels like what you've always wanted? Well I reckon the Evolution is the slide equivalent. It just feels right!
Regards, Niall

Niall,
Amen, hardly used anything else since I got my evolution, that was months ago. Even got a great diamond glass slide with a reverse taper, which is also excellent, that gets used on the Glissentar fretless. But for everything else its the evolution, wonderful bit of kit.

Yes I've got one for the Cannon, getting another one for the Beltona. I use a whopping great lead crystal for the Deco tri-cone and a lighter glass slide is on the way from Ian at D B for occasional use on my old Fylde for the "Elected For?" song done in a woody way!
Wonderful slides for wonderful guitars.

They are great slides indeed, Ian does a great job.
I ordered a domed top evolution a while back and it was a great slide, but was the perfect shape for me as a lap slidebar, didn't quite have the weight however so I packed it with sand and blue tac and its now a perfect bar, with an amazing tone on every steel guitar I try it on. I prefer it to the leadfilled bar I got from DB, although thats just me!
Took the plunge last night after a couple of quiet whiskies and ordered a triotone bar as well, can't wait to get hold of it!!

Ian
You are too kind. Excellent I may or may not be, but in this end of London gigs are hard to find. So 2009 is my year to get some.
