Michael, I've just noticed the time on the banner at the top of this page is 1hr behind! The clocks changed 2 weeks ago.
What incredible irony it is, that I should be commenting your time-keeping!
See you in Pocklington next Friday at 1pm (or should that be 12pm?)
Dom

Hi Dom,
Yeah I know about the forum clock, but I have no control over it. Hopefully it will correct itself.
See you in Pocklington,
Shine On, Michael.

It always used to be two hours out, but then I'm sure it has been correct! I just assumed that was the time where the 'proboard' business centre was?

No it isn't! There seem to be some strange things going on with the forum clock. BEFORE I logged in it was an hour fast (on a 12 hour clock), but when I logged in it was 2 hours fast (on a 24 hour clock)!!! I'll stick to using my watch..........

I've got it.... It's a blues clock! Early (and maybe later?) bluesmen used to write predominantly 12-bar blues, but some sections were 11 or 13 bars long.
Similarly, the website clock has predominantly 60 minutes in an hour. However, being blues inspired, some hours have 50 or 70 minutes in. Over time, it gains or loses an hour or so.
Sorted!

I'm in Canada and the clock shows my local time ok. So, I suspect that te server is running a small javascript to read the system clock from the computer of whoever is looking at the page in their browser.
So, if the clock on your screen is out, it probably means that you have Javascript turned off on your PC or that your system clock is actually not set to your right local time. Possibly your pc could also be set to the wrong time zone so if that is being read to compute the time you'd have another possible reson to be 'out'.

Yeah, nice theory Colin, but I think you'll find I'm right.

At the third stroke the time sponsored by Accurist will be.....
I think Colin is correct and each forum member sets the clock to be cotrrect for their location. On my computer the time is now showing as correct.
However.....I also think that BigBadDom is right about it working on BluesTime :-)
Shine On, Michael.
