I have a question for Tricone owners (National, Johnson and Regal). How tall is your saddle that fits in the T-Bar bridge?
The one on my new modded Johsnon seems pretty low. It has National cones in it so I am not sure if perhaps they are taller then the stock import ones & that may have an effect.

Just wondering.

Hi Michael,

Generally speaking, the less wood you have between the strings and the T bridge, the more tone you will get. You can't just take the bridge down because the action will be too low. The correct set-up is acheived by getting a balance between neck angle & bridge height.
