MIchael, I noticed on your tour dates that you are playing the fringe festival in Barnstaple, North Devon. I like to visit friends and family in that part of the country whenever I can. Due to the ongoing saga of a house renovation a visit is well over due. I was thinking of seeing you play in Brecon, but perhaps this would be a good excuse to get away from DIY for a long weekend of music, beer and sea. Where are you playing? Is there any chance of saying hello in person and perhaps get a CD or 2 signed? Thanks Kristian

Hi Kristian,
The online publicity & information for this festival is not great. I am playing an acoustic concert with Ed Genis on Sunday 29th June at Marshalls, Boutport Street, Barnstaple. The performance is scheduled to start at 3:30.
If you come, please do come and say hello and bring your CDs, I will be very happy to sign them for you.

Hi Michael, I know the Marshals very well. Excellent beer and good astmosphere. I saw Michael Roach play there a few years ago, it was an excellent afternoon - nice chap to!
I hope to see you there.
Thanks Kristian

Hi Michael I hope youself and Ed Genus (I hope I spelt that right!) enjoyed the gig as much as I me and my wife did. Had a really good time - I thought the version of Deathletter was great! What was the track you played at the end of the first set, Blind somebody or other ;D - it rocked I hadn't heard that before. Hopefully you'll visit north devon again, it is a beautiful place to visit. If you haven't explored the local area before, its well worth staying for a few days next time - there are good local bands playing, if you know where to look. Incidently, I was thinking of placing another post regardingg tuners, my Boss TU12 mic is tempremental and a real pain when tuning acoustic instruments, I noticed that you were using a clip on tuner, anything you could recommend, I'd like to use it for variety of instruments, open G, 12 string and regular acoustic, or are they all pretty much the same and can't go far wrong with any of them Thanks again Kristian

Hi Kristian,
Thanks for your comments and for coming to the concert.
The song we played at the end of the first set was 'Write Me a Few Short Lines' by Mississippi Fred McDowell.
I know North Devon quite well. My uncle lived in Barnstaple & I have visited Exeter and the north coast a few times. I left Barnstaple on Sunday and had dinner by the river in a pub in Dulverton - it is beautiful there.
The tuner I was using is a clip on GUITAR MAN GM11 - which costs about 10 quid. They are excellent.
Shine On Michael.
