Here's how to add a photo: I will use a photo from my own website. 1. Go to the photo on the Internet and hover over the photo - then right click and scroll down to PROPERTIES. 2. Click on PROPERTIES - highlight & COPY where it says ADDRESS URL - This is my picture's URL www.michaelmesser.co.uk/SECOND%20MIND%20FRONT5.jpg3. Now go to the MM forum and click REPLY/START NEW THREAD ETC.... and you will get the white window that I am typing into right now. 4. Above this white window/text box, there are various grey buttons called ADD TAGS. Put your curser where you want the picture to appear in your message and click on the bottom row, fourth from the left (it's a little picture in a frame) 5. [ i m g ] U R L [ / i m g ] <<this is what you will see appear. I have added some spaces to the demos because otherwise they just become hyperlinks! 6. In the middle of that TAG it has three letters....URL, remove them from the tag ....so it looks like this [/img] but leave EVERYTHING ELSE, including the brackets, they are part of the TAG. Paste into the space between the two brackets the URL of your photo, mine is www.michaelmesser.co.uk/SECOND%20MIND%20FRONT5.jpg7. Pasted into the TAG properly it will create a hyperlink to the photo. LIKE THIS>>>> If you have any questions about this, please ask and I will do my best to answer them. And, don't worry if you make a mistake, we can delete unwanted posts from here at MM HQ. Shine On, Michael,

As very few members on the forum have websites (I imagine the same is true of guests), it would be useful to know how to upload a photo that is not on the Internet (off a PC for example). Can that be done? I have asked this elsewhere, but it seems that this is the right place for the question now.

Hi Chris,
Welcome to the forum. I don't know why you have not received your password. The only details we have is your email address, your password really is only known by you. Perhaps you should delete your membership and start again, it is all I can suggest. If you can't do that, we can do it for you. Let me know how you get on. You are not the only person to have had this problem, but as far as I know it got sorted. If anyone reading this has anything to add, then please do. The only way we can run this forum efficiently is to get feedback from you.
Thanks for letting me know Chris. I hope you enjoy visiting & contributing to the forum. When you get your new Fine Resophonic Tricone perhaps you can post a photo of it.
Shine On, Michael.

I'm having trouble, nothing unusual there other than the fact it concerns posting and the size of scanned immages The scans are say in real terms 4" x 6" and appear as such on my own site but when linked here they increase to fill the screen plus some : which does look a bit silly - any ideas

Hi Richard,
I always change the size of scanned images for the forum to nothing wider than 500 pixels, which sits on the screen and is easily big enough. Depending on what software you use, in Adobe I go to image size & make sure it is 72dpi & no wider than 500pixels.
Good luck, Shine On, Michael.
