The French blues scene is mourning the loss of a great man, Magic Buck (Buck Langlois), who died this week. Magic Buck Langlois and I were occasionally in touch via social media, but sadly we never met. I always enjoyed our communications and I know from friends of mine that he was a great man. Maybe Pascal Mesnier and Mike Lewis could write something about Buck for the forum. All I can do is share the sad news and post some videos and photos from a time before he became unwell. This is a very good interview with Buck talking about his life and his music Magic Buck Langlois >RIP ------------------------- Shine On Michael

So sad. He’s one of the artists I didn’t discover until the Spotify/Youtube age came about but I love his music and would have loved to have seen him play live. The live album has kept me going through many a long dull car journey and when we do our annual Campervan trip to France it’s the go to road trip music. Thank you for posting this. Today is Buck Day in our house. Mrs T

I don't want to dwell on the serious health problems, multiple operations (brain) that he underwent for ten years. Buck was a dear friend since the 2000s, I spent a fantastic week at his place in Toulon jamming every day with him and his Marseille friends. RIP dear Buck (born Pascal Langlois)
