Dear all and everyone, I hope things are going well for all my fellow guitar players and pickers. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a good year. I'd like to put my resonator up for sale, and despite being on Reverb and eBay, would (obviously) rather generate some interest on Michael's forum. I'll put a link on, for eBay,https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166553517522?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=53pxXCS8RW6&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=53pxXCS8RW6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY but will also try to upload at least one photo on here. I purchased the guitar online without viewing, and my luthier has completely overhauled the instrument, giving it a neck re-set and full set up. I've moved into more jazzy stuff, and want to finance a jazz box, without subjecting my wallet to unnecessary pain and strain. This Busker has had an artist's attention, with a view to adding an 'aged effect', essentially his interpretation of the relic type process. I don't know the artist, and the previous owner can't tell me much about them. It is what it is, and I guess you'll either like it or hate it! The main thing here I think, is that it plays really well. There's more info on the eBay listing, and a link or two to a few 'try outs' on YouTube. Best wishes to all, and please message if you have questions.

Hi Archie, had to post a picture of my 'charity shop Duolian' because I thought the finish looked so similar! Mine was garden fence and house paint done by god knows who god knows where! Good luck with the sale, l have that Busker, very nice guitar 🎸 Best wishes to you all, John

Hi there! I really like that effect! It almost looks like weathered leather on yours. Thank you for the kind wishes, and the interesting pics, it's really appreciated 👍 All the best, Archie.

Archie, what a nice ragtime picking on those videos!
Did you also play slide on this guitar? What strings were you using? I'm asking because I like the sound of that kind of picking on resonator, but when I tried it myself I couldn't play as well as I can on acoustic guitar, I think because of a strings tension and action set up little higher than normal. Insufficient skills might also be a huge factor...

Hi there tomgiemza, Thank you very much for the kind comment. The Busker has 'John Pearse' 13-52 phosphor bronze on it. The action is comparatively low, as the excellent luthier who does occasional jobs on my guitars did a neck re-set. I don't play slide, well, very rarely! At the twelfth fret, the action's 2.5mm bass side and 2.0mm treble side. Do you mostly use your resonator for slide? How's your action looking? Best wishes, Archie.

Thanks, I play slide a lot, I use 13-56 monel strings with 3.0mm bass side and 2.5 treble side action at 12th fret. I was curious about your setup, but I think that usually the trick is in the fingers, not the guitar All the best, Tom
