James ( you may have seen the ‘making a steel body resonator ‘ on ‘the Workbench ‘ last year) has now used bronze as a body material ( he has also done brass earlier) and is making a couple of single cone resonator guitars. As usual his videos are interesting and fun with some good music when he is not talking. Pete
This is the middle video, just posted, the other 2 ( and his older ones) are well worth a look.

Hi forum members, I am a new member And grateful to be allowed to join you guys. I have built a couple of cigar box guitars and have been wanting to build a metal body resonator for a long time. I came across James and his videos and really loved watching him take on the challenge of a steel body reso. Entertaining as well as informative, the guy is funny as hell and this video is his best comedy yet,. I contacted him and he sent me the plans and filed needed to do this build, so awesome!!! I'm a sheet metal fabricator by trade, and my boss is allowing me to work on this on my own time. James actually shared a couple of pictures of mine on this video. I'm the one using the plasma table. Its not as clean of a cut as a laser but its what I have to work with and I can make this work. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and say I'm so very excited to do this build and be a part of this community. I'm a fan of Michael Messer's guitars and music. I've wanted to buy one of his guitars but its just not in my buget. Besides, my wife said"your not buying another guitar" , but she didn't say anything about building one 😁

Welcome to the forum Chuck H. Some years ago I built ( or rather helped build) a couple of metal body resos. Luckily my workmate was an aircraft technician, so he did a lot of the metal work. I hope your project goes well and you post some pics. Good luck Pete T
