Hello. Anyone with strong opinions on these? I'm doing some work on a reso rocket, and it's fitted with one. The guy is disappointed with the tone, and it does sound a bit dead compared to his radio tone. Im not so concerned with pros and cons of it being compensated, just with the quality of the pieces. It does seem to be engineered well, but doesn't look or feel 'natural'. Cheers, TT

Hello TT
I shouldn’t comment because I don't like to be negative about other manufacturers, but those things are tone killers.
Why are they so intent on fixing a problem that players for almost a hundred years haven’t needed to fix. Some of the world’s greatest players and numerous other musicians seem to have been able to play in tune, so I don’t get it. They are what they are and that is what makes them so unique and amazing. Why would anyone want to destroy the perfection of what John Dopyera created.
Boxwood saddle on a maple biscuit is the only way to go.
My message to these folks is… If this extraordinary and beautiful instrument isn’t for you, get something else.
