I see ( or rather have seen) loads of guitars with screw-on necks where the bridge has been filed down to nothing and all that is needed is a neck shim. Pete

Mrs T, I think I have a couple of short tailpieces. I don’t think it will do the trick, but it might. PM me if you want to try one Shine On Thank you Michael. I’m using the guitar in question as a sort of experiment before I buy a MM 36 so thanks for the offer but it would be a waste of a good tailpiece. I’m thinking of modifying the existing one by cutting it to make it adjustable with a sliding overlap and a fixing screw in a slot. I’m a tinkerer. I’ve also got a trapeze tailpiece which has adjustment possible somewhere in the shed. Maybe try that. I’m still learning this resonator thing🤔 Mrs T
