Stones are my favourite band since I was a kid, but... I feel like this song has been carefully manufactured (like most of mediocre pop songs today) instead of being a fine work of art. Like it's more a pop song than rock and roll or blues.
Despite this whole marketing machine around Stones was built long time ago, this is the first time I feel this way about them.

The new albums is out. The last track is Muddy Waters' Rolling Stone. They started off that song and now they put it at the end.

I’m painting walls right now with my first listens (3 times so far). First impressions are that it’s an album which fits in well with the Stones amazing body of work. And it’s growing on me already. If I was making a play list (spits!) of my top 50 Stones tracks there would be 4 or five from this album on it. That’s a pretty good score. The one which really gets to me straight away is Whole Wide World. Sounds like the guys have been listening to the Levellers or The Clash and turned them through a mixer with Keef and Ronnie’s best riffs. Love it. Two more walls to do then a second coat. Seems like it’s going to be a nice afternoon after all.

Heard a few tracks on the wireless and felt a bit embarrassed for them. Loads of false soul and the Lady Ga Ga track my mum would have called catawailng. Sorry about that but have been around since the beginning. 😧😧
