Our local open mic. night only allows acoustic instruments and ONE microphone for vocals.
I play reso with fingers and no picks, therefore I play quietly cf. the plectrum strummers who frequent the pub.
I also do not have the loudest voice in the village.
The'PA' is a wireless karaoke job - JTS E-6TH microphone - plumbed in to the pub speaker system.
Help and advice required on the best placement of this mic. so as to pick up my voice and guitar, please.
(no time available to experiment, I'm afraid)
Thanks in advance. PD

Hi PD,
That mic should be fine placed around 10 inches away from from you and positioned between your chin and the guitar. Make sure the EQ is set pretty much flat and no reverb. That way the volume should go up without feeding back. I'm sure it'll be great. If you want them to hear you guitar more, just angle the guitar up a little towards it. ENJOY!
