Hi there !
I'm considering buying one. Tempted even. I've played a 14-fret fibreglass Beltona, in a London guitar shop, YEARS ago (probably 15yrs ago or more), but never since then. As I was already used to 12-fret vintage Nationals, the sound was a little less brash (eh, polite ?) than I was expecting - but what of 12 fret fibreglass Beltonas ?
Yes, I know that as it's a Beltona, the construction quality will be great AND I know from owning Beltona's in the past, the neck will be fabulous. Just wondered what the concencus was with the fibreglass bodies. PM me if you prefer.
As far as I'm aware, it should be lighter in weight than a "regular" vintage National. That would be nice - and ideal for taking on holidays (I always gotta take a musical instrument on holiday, if I'm away for a week or more !).

Hi again ! Well, I went for the Beltona single-cone, with fibreglass body. Really nice guitar Neck & headstock beautiful - aesthetically AND a lovely shape in your hand. Attachments:

I think Steve Evans makes some of the best necks around!
Is the weight saving substantial? Would love to know the figures.

Hi again !
Yes, it definitely feels a good bit lighter than my vintage Nationals (which already feel lighter than any NRP guitar I've ever owned). It's more like picking up a regular wooden acoustic guitar. Ken Clark has a similar one up for sale.
