Sad news. I've liked him since the Ronnie Hawkins days.

Suddenly, I recalled many memories... discovering Music From The Big Pink, watching The Last Waltz over and over, and more recent, watching The Irishman and listening to "Sinematic". And right now I'm looking at the cover of Dylan's "Planet Waves" (somehow it found its way to the top of the pile at my desk).

Last night I saved a few posts from social media that say all that needs to be said. The world has lost a truly great artist, one of the masters of American music and by all accounts, a lovely human being. Robbie Robertson >RIP Shine On Michael

Sad news again - legacy of great songs.
Hope Robbie and Levon shake hands and are now playing together again.

I came to the party late but appreciate him none the less, it started for me with Somewhere down that crazy River from his solo self titled album from 1987, Daniel Lanois produced and I was hooked from then on in, thus discovering the Band and other retrospective associated Rabbit holes beckoned. It will be on the Turntable tonight.
Sad news as we all hurtle towards our destiny.

Gutted. Love The Band, and he was one of my absolute favourite guitarists.
