Son House did a short tour in 1970 and needed a guitar. Tom McGuinness lent his . Son was famous ( infamous?) for pawning any instruments he had to buy drink) It came back with a split headstock. . Interestingly Tom had played this guitar on Top of the Pops with Manfred Mann, one of the first National on National British TV ( though I think the comic Max Millar would have had the very first appearance) The serial number and logo were lost/ removed during the repair and the cone has seen better days but it still sounds great Pete
