I wish somebody on this planet would replicate Highlander iP-1X and Magnophonic pickups and professional musicians can all stop looking into the past to amplify their National and National-style guitars with magnetic pickups. C'est la vie....as they say across the channel. Shine On Michael AMEN! Michael Messer perhaps something you yourself would consider pitching to an existing pickup company?!

I have spoken to a couple, but the problem is that they think they have it covered with the products they already make. Basically, they don't understand and don't particularly care because they are selling the crap they already make. It is the same with National Resophonic, they don't care either because they have a deal going with Mr Krivo and people like them, so that's enough for them. The only reason Highlander got so involved and were successful was because they were National Resophonic Guitars neighbours and between Don Young and Highlander they wouldn't let go until they cracked it, and they did. I would do it myself, but I don't really want to run a pickup company.

Even in as much as building the pickups myself... I have luthier experience, and am more than capable of fitting and installing such pickups, but it would require someone much more technically minded than me to deconstruct the highlanders and create a new schematic for scratch building a new ones.
