Hi there !
Never been quite partial to those wooden ones, especially if cosmetically all over the place. The cone looks in pretty good nick though. I'd buy it & send it to a really good luthier used to work on Nationals (Steve Evans is the best, in the UK) - BUT the flaking finish would just bug me. V happy with my GS Style O I got off you anyway !!

Nice looking guitar. It is a shame about the finish, but it is an early one from 1928 with the handmade hand rest and the early coverplate. Unusual colouring too, the spots are more prominent and darker than most. I do wish they wouldn't open these guitars up to show us the cone. It is so stupid to disturb it after so many years. On these early ones, even slackening off the strings too quickly can do damage. Then it will be restrung without the care and consideration that it requires having been slackened off and shown to us all.
No matter how this looks, if it is all as solid as it appears to be, it will sound amazing.
