Hi TT. Bought a couple of different cheap sets off eBay a few years back. Used carefully I've had no problems with them. Unless you're a luthier using them all the time £60+ seems a lot to spend on something that would be used very occasionally by guys like us. Check out the modelling section.

Hi there !
There are sets of 3 nut files - with a different size on each side of the tool. I've never used them - as they tend to be for 12-54 string sets, rather than the 13-56 sets I use. So, you are in luck, I suppose.
Check the string gauges you use, compared to the stated gauges the tool set are stated as.
I bought individual nut files (7 files, to range from 13-56, six - with an extra file for unwound 3rd string) from Stewmac instead. Probably cost about $100, many years back & I still use them from time to time.

Have you tried welding nozzle files. ? Couple of quid for a set of different gauges on eBay. Always worked for me. Mrs T
