Talkin' about installing strings I have a "personal little trick" that I do on my solid headstock acoustic: I install the second and the sixth string way UP the post, so to be able to bend behind the nut. I do that a lot on those two strings even on an acoustic. All the other strings I put them on down the post.
And, lastly, I do NOT cut the first string and I twist it instead, so to avoid cutting my finger on the first string when bending the B string behind the nut.
Once I cut myself and started bleeding from my index, with people appreciating it and clapping...!
