Bored at work today... I was thinking how my NRP Vintage Steel Delphi is really closer to a stripped triolian than it is to a duolian, since it has a bound maple neck. It made me remember these two videos: And made me think that maybe I should make a stencil and spray some palm trees on the back of my Vintage Steel.

Hadn’t seen the video,but 20 years ago I did a paint job on a ‘faux’ resonator ( it’s not a faux anymore) I did the sun last, it looks fine as the black shows through, but ideally the sun goes on first ( haven’t seen the video yet maybe it’s recommend?)Pete  The front of this guitar was also influenced by my Triolion  Pete |

Love it ! (the metal top reso guitar) !! All my resos have some sort of metal cover plate, it’s just a bit bigger on this one. Basically I am too mean to buy a cover plate. ( the tops are made of old road signs attacked with a hammer, drill and jig saw) Most are then given my ‘ flamed aluminium ‘ finish. I have made several others in what I call my ‘Full Metal Jacket’ range Pete |
