Hey, so on an offset spider the saddle is off the center? Is there no reasonable way to repair my old cone? If so, what would you guys recommend? Beard? Quaterman? Replogle? Hi Robinson, That is correct. The photo shows the offset spider quite clearly. Forget about offset spiders, as they only ever appear on two resonator models - original 1930s fiddle edge Dobros and Michael Messer MM Fiddle Edge guitars. Lee has an advised you well. Just get a Beard Original BC-1 cone and don't get into all the other versions of the same thing. www.resophonicoutfitters.com/product/BC-1.htmlAnd if you decide you want a new bridge saddle, which I don't think you do. Just get their Maple Bridge Insert, or make a box wood one. Do not bother with ebony capped bridge saddles, or any other new-fangled versions of a bridge saddle. www.resophonicoutfitters.com/product/MB-14.htmlShine On Michael

Alright, so thanks for all the good advice. It will be a Beard Cone then. Since I‘m new in this Reso/Slide game, are there any good books and or online lessons you would recommend?
By the way, the new trussrod wrench fits great on that old Dobro.
Cheers.
