Pity there isn’t a picture through one of the screen holes. I wonder if the neck has a dovetail rather than a neckstick? It would also show how thick the top is, possibly a standard Gibson spruce top rather than stiff ply. Pete

That's right, it was in Tom Wheeler's wonderful book and somewhere, although I can't find it right now, Mark has done an illustration of it.
As an aside; Back in 1982 I was so desperate for information about National guitars that I wrote to Tom Wheeler to arrange a phone call with him. He sent me his number and then I had to book a person to person call. We had a great conversation and Tom was very helpful.
