The BBC are repeating some of these Music programs recorded some time ago. Lots of ‘fusion ‘ stuff linking Celtic music with it’s US relations. Mostly acoustic and always enjoyable ( as a Blues fan who rarely listens to other genres I make sure see these ) Pete w
They are on BBC TV 4, late night on Fridays

The sessions are tremendous. I love Jerry Douglas's playing. I think Michael played in one of the sessions, but haven't been able to find a video on YouTube.

Hi dobbsy, The Transatlantic Sessions, especially for me the first series in 1995, are wonderful programmes. Sadly I was not in any of them, but rather weirdly the last time I bumped into Aly Bain, who I have known for many years, at the Transatlantic Sessions show at the Royal Festival Hall a few years ago, he said what you said!
