Hi Everyone
i'm just getting into slide playing currently playing on one of my acoustics, i'm looking for a quality used resonator for my first one. So if anyone has one for sale please get in touch.
Would love a MM, any of them really but also open to others.
cheers
Andy

Hello Andy,
Just a note to welcome you to the forum and our community.
I am sure you will get good advice, hopefully find a guitar and connect with some like minded people.

Can't quite stretch to buying a new one just yet but if nothing comes up i may be able to further down the line Thanks for the welcome

Hi Andy, John aka bonzo here. I've got a couple of Republic Duolian style resos in the £400-£450 region. Pm me if you're interested. Welcome to the forum by the way.

Hi Andy
I have a nice clean Vintage resonator, I can send you photos and a sound sample. It is around 20 years old, sounds good and is very playable. I am in the process of buying one of Michael's guitar so do need to off load this, let me know if you want more information.
On hear I would let it go for £400, it was £600 when I bought it they are retailing new for £699 but you can get a deal on a new one for £600 but the trouble could be the set up these is the set up, some are apparently OK but a couple of guys I know have had to spend quite a lot getting them set up. This one is set up perfect. I live near Manchester I am ok for you to can come and play it before you buy if you wish.
It shows very light signs of usage but is metal after all, the neck is perfect, frets show no wear (unsurprisingly) and it has no dings, - would keep it if I was not buying a new one.

thanks for the offer Brucer.
i've actually just got a dobro style republic yesterday.
i may also get a biscuit style to go with it, but would need to shed a guitar or 2 first.
good luck with it.
Andy

Hi Andy No probs, hope you enjoy your new acquisition, I am not unhappy to hang on to this guitar, it maybe superfluous to my collection as it were (at least according to my wife) but I picked it up today on the thought it should be dusted down and played back in a bit (strings at least) if it was going. I forgot how nice it was so will look to make the cull with something else. Bruce

Hi Bruce
i'm in the same boat, i'm selling an old guild 12 string i don't really play but it is a great guitar ! also considering a great local made strat - i'm more of a tele and 335 man, but like to have options !
selling guitars is always hard, but sometimes you need to fund the next one !
i'm very happy so far with the new dobro style res. I'm new to resonators but i'm happy with the look, feel and sound. As i progress i might add to it but for now its scatching my itch!
