Hi there ! Too many guitars. Bought one too many this year, and another is on the way, so something has got to go. 1930 National Style O, serial no. S61X All steel body except the back, which is probably brass under the nickel-plating, BUT as the plating is so intact, I can't be 100% sure (there's always a chance it's German Silver under the plating - but we'll call it doubtful for now). Sounds somewhere between an all-steel bodied Style O and an all-brass Style O - mostly brash steel-bodies sound but with a bit more clarity. So, the front & sides have small rust spots that have never got any worse since I got the guitar about 15yrs ago. Had a neck reset and new ebony fretboard soon after I got it, by Dave King, from Reading (at the time). He also inlaid carbon-fibre strengthening rods in the neck - so it's staying straight for at least another 80yrs !! Original cone in fairly good condition (it has a NRP biscuit), but when I tried a NRP Hot Rod cone in it, it sounded fuller and louder, with better sustain. Take your pick - the original cone or the NRP hot-rod cone. I can set up saddle slots on a new biscuit, to the action height of your preference. Oh, the original tuners were missing when I got this guitar - so there is a great set of StewMac Golden Restoration tuners on it. Also, there is a replacement decal as there was no decal on it when I got it. This could be removed easily. Serious enquiries only, thanks.

Hi there !
Well, by the time I paid for shipping & import duty & taxes, I had spent £3k - and that was before I sent it to Dave King to make it wonderful again. As I said above, serious enquiries only, thanks (via PM). I'll be putting it on ebay in a while otherwise - BUT anyone here, I'll pay for shipping (within the UK).

Good luck with the sale, Richard. This one looks great. If I didn't have something incoming (and hopefully other stuff outgoing), I would be reaching out. Hope all is well.

Nicest style zero I ever played was a steel one that belonged to Colin at note cannons, who ever is lucky enough to get this will be a happy contented player.
I remember Dave King having to replace a few of these ebony boards as they are prone to a bad case of the crumbles....
Regards
Lee

Guitar nearly sold BUT in the interest of correcting a mistake I made in my original posting, the serial number for this guitar for sale is S82x, and not S61x (as mentioned in my first post). I got confused with a Style O I used to have, S618.
