Having read Michael's comments from some time back regarding maple bridge inserts, I've decided to swap my tricone maple/ebony cap for just maple. Well, that was the plan. I'm having no luck in sourcing a plain maple T-bridge insert anywhere on the web I've tried all the obvious suppliers to no avail... would anyone by chance have one available for sale?

Hi Tony
I don't have any bridge saddles for tricones. Maple is very good, but box wood is better and is what original National bridge saddles were made of.
If you have a Far Eastern tricone, it is likely that it has a black painted aluminium T-bridge. You would be well advised to remove all the black paint as it with transform the way it conducts and carries the sound vibrations to the bridge saddle.

If you cannot find any boxwood on the various sites have a look for vintage wooden rulers (not kings & Queens) that you would have found in school as these were made from boxwood.
