Hi
I have a KG-22? made between 1939 and 1942. Serial Number DK 1485 archtop. All original. The neck remains straight and is currently set to (1.5 at the 12th, plays clean without any buzz) this guitar is in fantastic condition
Serial Number DK 1485. 16.2 ins in lower bout. 11.5 upper bout. 40.5 in length. f-hole archtop. Bound rosewood fingerboard Sunburst top, dark back and sides finish Maple back and sides, carved spruce top Mahogany V shaped neck. Rosewood bound fingerboard.
The frets and fingerboard have very little wear. This guitar plays well and has a good powerful voice.
In extraordinarily good condition. As well as playing like a dream, as all Gibsons of that period appear to, this guitar sounds superb.
I may consider selling it, I was thinking of maybe letting it go in a year or so but as asked about a Kalamazoo Flatop of this period I thought an archtop may appeal to you. If you are interested I would recommend that you see it and play it before you make an offer and would be happy discuss how this could be done. I can photograph and post these.
